Year of the Clippers

topic posted Mon, December 5, 2005 - 1:52 AM by  Bobby!
Have you seen the Clippers this year? They have a solid squad, coach, and are dominating the Pacific divison.
Elton Brand is hot and the rest of Clippers look like they are serious about making a run at the NBA playoffs.

Keep your eyes on the LA Clippers!

i think they're peaking too soon. if it weren't for sam casell and elton brand, i'd say they'd tank in the second half of the season.

as it is, they'll only be a surprising first round exit to the sonics

"i think they're peaking too soon."

I kind of get that feeling, too. The Suns have caught them in the standings, and I'm not all that sure the Clips are to the point where they can consistently win on the road. But it's good to see that franchise showing some life.

I don't think that the Clippers are peaking too soon, I think they finally got their sh*t together.

I think that Donald Sterling will find a way to ruin this just like every other time the Clips looked good. I see a mid season trades, ET has to go home, injuries and there you have it another Clipper failure!

i can't jinx 'em too much. i'm a big fan of elton brand. the dude just has it. playing for the clips is like playing for a milwaukee or seattle team; you just don't get the recognition you deserve

and yeah, i said the sonics

some were talking 4th seed after they beat the Cavs and the Pacers (back to back) but fuckerpants knew better. the knicks came in and handed 'em their asses.

they've got a great team. if they had a larry brown or even a van gundy, they'd be a western conference contender. but, as it is they have...

            .."skating on thin Weiss"

            (I LOVE that!)

I will never forgive that organization for breaking up the D Miles Q Richardson connect.

They can win 60 games this year and they will still be trash imo.

There is still room on the Clipper Band Wagon, all aboard! Lets not get caught up in the past. This is a new team and they are going to make a serious run towards the playoffs. The balance of power in the west has shifted and maybe the Clippers can capatialize on it! Anything is possible...

I think it's going to be the Warriors and the Clippers battling it out for the division title this year ... and which ever wins, I'll be stoked for the perenial loser !

they're having trouble with the less than stellar suns (who aren't playing up to their potential--even without amare). i'd like to see them advance because brand deserves

hell, it's practically indebted to him. after all those years of NOT getting into the all-star games after averaging monster numbers. throw him in there as a small-forward. a shooting guard. anything. just get that man into the game of champions.

plus sammy crack-baby casell needs to get another ring. it'll guarantee he gets laid for at least three or four years after he retires

After last nights double overtime loss to the Suns, it doesn't look good for the Clippers who are now in a must win situation. I still think that the series is going 7 games. If Casell can keep from jacking up 3 pt shots when there is no one under the rim to rebound, the Clips will have a chance at winning. Even if they lose the series, its been fun watching that other team in LA come to life and draw a lot of attention!
