Is the gang finally starting to buy what Larry Brown is selling?

I'm a bit puzzled by the New York gang. They have a lot of talent there, but all their talent seems so cancerous.

Marbury, Francis, Richardson, Crawford, and Rose seem to provide them with a slew of good guards and forwards, but if that's so then how come someone like Qyntel Woods, who I have the lowest opinion of, can start for them or even get significant minutes?

When you combine the apparent depth at guard and small forward with Frye and Curry, who seem to be making a nice combo inside, then you consider that Brown is coaching them, you have to wonder why this team stinks.

what players are you watching? richardson is terrible-his career fg pct is <40, and he shoots ~36% for 3's. the same applies to crawford. crawford, when on the bulls had decent stats, but the bulls were terrible. obviously, richardson's absence on the suns hasn't hurt them at all-in fact, raja bell is a huge upgrade. in terms of marbury, guess what! the suns had stoudamire, marion and joe johnson with marbury, and they were terrible!!! (they had a losing record when they traded him to the knicks). then, the very next year, they sign nash and win 62 games. so, obviously marbury isn't a winner.

eddie curry is terribly inconsistent; frye will probably be the best player of the bunch, in my opinion

they stink because their players are grossly overrated (i.e nate robinson is not that good, and AI should have won the slam dunk competition)

it's like reggie miller said-the knicks are garbage, and it doesn't matter who's coaching them, you can't win with garbage

Granted, they're overrated as individuals. I think that was kind of my point. Marbury and Francis are probably the most over-hyped players in the league. The changes made by Thomas seem to be rather cosmetic, including the hiring of Larry Brown. But even so, at this point in the season they still should have won more than 15 games, or at least more games than the Blazers, Hawks, and Bobcats.
